デペッシュ・モードの入門用にどーぞっ！

たしかにあっちこっちのレビューに書いてあるとおり、他のいろいろなアーティストのベスト盤と同じく、シングル曲を中心に集めた悪く言えば『ひねりのないベストアルバム』かもしれないです。

でも個人的にアーティストがファンのために選曲したとかじゃなければ、ベスト盤っていうのは、新しい客層がつかめればそれでイイんじゃないかなって思うのです。実際自分もVAIOLATORとULTRAを経てこのアルバムから本格的にのめり込みました。


二枚組にしちゃったりすると新しいファンはとっつきにくくなってしまうし、基本的に捨て曲は無いと思うのでそういう意味ではヘンにマニアックな曲を入れずに一枚にキッチリ詰めたこのアルバムはなかなかイイ出来だと思います。


アレが入ってない、コレが入ってないっていうのはどうがんばっても出てきてしまうとおもいますし。。。曲を選んで自分でプレイリストが作れてしまうこのご時世、ベストは入門用って割り切っちゃえばこれくらいの評価をつけてもイイんじゃないかなって思います。

デペッシュ・モードに本気でハマらせてくれたこのアルバムにホントは☆５つあげたいところですが、従来のファンからしてみれば見返りは新曲くらいしかナイと思うので、４つにします。

初心者向け？

なぜこの時期に出たのかもよく分からないデペッシュモードのベストアルバム。以前にシングルズとしてベスト盤的な全シングルを集めた内容のものが出ており、今回のベストも、アルバムからの隠れた名曲を取り上げるというようなことはなく、全てシングルから選曲されており、ますますその存在意義が分からない。彼らのアルバムを全て持っている熱心なファンからしたら、全く購入動機の起こらない内容で、初めてこのバンドを聞く入門者向けとしても、適当にシングル曲を抜粋しただけの内容では、時代ごとの音楽性の変遷が掴みにくく、彼らの楽曲の魅力がどれだけ伝わるのか疑問だ。とにかくこのアルバムの曲の並びの意図が全く不明だ。この流れではファーストとセカンドの曲が浮きまくってしまうのでは。

DVD見れない

曲は既にもっているものばかり。DVD欲しさに買ったけどリージョン1(アメリカ)なのでPS2では見れなかった。
PCのリージョン設定を変えたら見れました。
内容はPVとメンバーやDEPECHE MODE関係者のインタビュー、制作秘話など。日本語字幕あり。
収録曲はファンならすでにもっているものばかりだから、DEPECHE MODE初心者さん向けかな。
歴代ヒット曲ばかりを収録してます。

これはちょっと疑問だなあ

最近dmはmemberが脱退などで減ってからなんだか音の作りに手抜きが有るんぢゃあないかと思うぐらい厚みが無くなったみたいでtechno-fanとしては寂しい。digitalシンセも良いけどanalogueで重厚な音作りをして欲しい。そんな音をsuper-wooferで聴きたいものだ。もちろんhumanleagueなどとは違うのは判っているのだが

「BEST」の新曲からして冴えていない。

　選曲が気に入らない、といってしまうのは実に個人的、利己的ともいえるので、あえてそれを外してこの「BEST」を考える。まず新曲からして全く冴えない。そして何故このような曲順になったのか私には（やはり個人的か）理解できない。シングルコレクションを出している以上、このようなＣＤは不要であるとしか思えない。
　果たしてvol1とされている以上、今後同様にvol2,vol3……が出て来るのであろうか？

新しくファンになった人のために

同時代の世代ではないのでなんとも言えないのですが、昔のＤＭの音を良く知らない人、最近ＤＭを知った人には聞いてもらいたいです。評価は低いのは、昔からのファンには許されないほど、ひどいものなのでしょう。単なるシングルの寄せ集め。金ほしさの１枚。でも、やはりアーティスト側、レコード会社側からすると、PR活動の一環なのではないでしょうか。個人的には、９０年代に入ってファンになったので、ありがたい１まいではあります。walking in my shoesは、rockしていてかっこいいと思います。

日産マーチのCM曲オリジナルはこれです。

1981年にデビューしてから現在まで欧米ではカリスマ視されているにもかかわらず、日本では影が薄いデペッシュ・モード
彼らはベストアルバム2枚＋リミックス盤1枚既に出しているので、以前からデペッシュ・モードを聴いたことある人にとっては「新鮮味」がないアルバムであります。しかも、「ブラック・セレヴレーション」収録のシングル曲はゼロ。確かに個人的に「ブラック・セレヴレーション」が一番好きなので内容的な不満はあります。
しかし、日産マーチで「キャント・ゲット・イナフ」がカバーですが、よく耳にします。
もう一度言いますが、「彼らがオリジナルです」
そこのところ、きちんと記憶してもらうには、このアルバムの存在価値は大きいかもしれません。
加えて、「キャント・ゲット・イナフ」以外にもこんなに良い曲あるんだってこと・・・彼らのバイブル的なアルバムと位置づけできれば・・・
典型的なベテランアーティストのベストアルバム(ベストアルバムのベスト）かもしれませんけど、彼らを知らない人が聴くにはバランスは保たれているアルバムってことで評価は5分5分です・・・日本の音楽事情から考えたら・・・
